How to do a Smylcheck?

Send us 4 photos with retractors (open and closed front, left and right side) of your patient’s smile by WhatsApp message to 06 81 44 97 30. Remember to specify the patient reference and any comments or requests. We will respond as soon as possible regarding your patient’s eligibility. Find out more

How to create a Smyline account?

Contact us at 04 12 05 14 14 to open your customer account or book an appointment online. We will activate your Smyline customer account together during this appointment. It should take 15 minutes (for this online appointment).

Who creates the treatment plan?

All treatment plans are created by our teams of experts and validated by our orthodontist advisors.

How to validate a treatment plan?

Treatment plans are submitted online. You can approve or reject them by clicking the buttons below the proposal. If you reject the treatment plan, a new version will be proposed based on your feedback and requests. Once the treatment plan is approved, aligner production begins.

After accepting the treatment plan, can I change it?

No, once the treatment plan has been validated, no changes are possible. Aligner production has begun.

When will I receive my welcome kit ?

You will receive your welcome kit with your first treatment. If you would like to receive it instead, please contact us at 04 12 05 14 14.

I already work with a competing brand, can I still test Smyline aligners?

Of course. Smyline is non-binding and non-exclusive. You can retain your partner and integrate our solution to offer your patients the most suitable solution.

How to order the next treatment?

Your treatment has more than 12 steps, so it is divided into batches. To order the next batch of treatment, click the “Request the next batch” button.

How to order a rematch (upgrade request in progress)?

You notice that the teeth are not evolving according to the established treatment plan. Request a rematch: evolution of the current treatment plan. Click on “reassess the treatment plan”, then choose “continuation of treatment” and then in the treatment objective specify your rematch request. New impressions will be required to complete this request.

How do I request a refinish (a new set of aligners because the final result does not match the result validated in the initial treatment plan)?

Click on “reassess treatment plan”, then choose “continuation of treatment” and then in treatment objective specify your finishing request. Impressions of your patient’s final dentition will be required to complete this request.

How do I order my retainer at the end of Smyline treatment?

Click on “reassess treatment plan”, then choose “retention”

How to properly submit a treatment request?

Your processing request should appear as “order sent” (in green). If your request appears as “order created,” it is in the “draft” stage and will not be processed by our teams. Remember to click the “send order” button at the bottom of the page.

Camera

Is your solution compatible with my camera?

We accept impressions from all optical cameras. For some of them (Medit, 3Shape, itero, Shinning 3D) gateways exist to facilitate the transfer of data between the cameras and our platform.

How do I connect my camera to your business platform?

To connect your camera to our business platform, send us an email to production@smyline.com. Include in this message:
○ The practice name,
○ The doctor’s name
○ The camera brand (3shape, Medit, etc.)
○ The camera account email address
Our team will take care of the process, and you will then receive a connection request by email, which you simply need to accept.

Which cameras have an automatic gateway with the Smyline business platform?

3Shape, Medit, Itero, and Shining 3D cameras have a gateway to our platform. Contact us to activate this connection.

I pushed my case from the camera, but it doesn't appear?

If the gateway between your camera and the platform has been configured, it will take between 10 and 20 minutes for the case to automatically appear on the platform. However, if it still does not appear after 30 minutes, please contact us at 04 12 05 14 14

How do I transfer my digital impressions to the platform?

You do not benefit from an automatic gateway, simply retrieve the STL files from your camera and then drop them onto the processing sheet – PLEASE NOTE: only STL files.

Which photos should I upload to the Smyline platform?

The only mandatory photo is the front intra-oral view. Nevertheless, we strongly advise you to share the following views with us:
○ Occlusal – Front mandible
○ Occlusal – Maxilla front view
○ Intra-oral right side
○ Intra-oral left side
○ Patient photos: front view with mouth closed – front view with smile – profile view with mouth closed

How to install cleats correctly?

We recommend that you follow the instructions on your composite devices (quantity, mix). We then recommend that you dry your teeth thoroughly to ensure a good bond, and firmly press the Smyline template against the tooth.

How can I see the stripping steps on the treatment plan?

Stripping steps are typically performed in steps 3, 6, and 9. You’ll find the stripping details at the very end of the treatment plan PDF. You can schedule an appointment with our Ortho department if you have any questions about the treatment plan. (Online appointment)

How do I view the cleats in the viewer?

When you’re in the 3D viewer, you can activate the cleat view by clicking on the icon at top right representing a small tooth with an attachment.

Restraint

Is contention included in Smyline treatments?

Two sets of aligners are included with each treatment. If you’d like to use a different support solution, such as a wire or the SmylKeeper combo, you can order these as an option via our platform.

How do I order a yarn/combo at the end of my Smyline treatment?

You must create a new contention order in parallel with your Smyline order. Specify in the comments that this is an end-of-treatment order, the patient reference and the type of contention ordered (wire or combo).

What restraint solutions do you offer?

We offer the SmylKeeper premium retainer range, with 3 types of solution: the retainer gutter, the laser-cut grade 5 titanium wire (without bending) and the SmylKeeper Combo (a solution combining the wire and the gutter adapted for fitting a double retainer in a single appointment).

How do I order restraints?

Log in to our platform and select the “retainer” option. Submit your digital impression and specify your choice of order (wire, splint, combo) for one or two arches.

What materials are contention wires made from?

SmylKeeper support wires are made of grade 5 titanium plate

Are SmylKeeper support wires bent?

No, the wires are laser-cut from a grade 5 titanium plate, with no bending to ensure exceptional mechanical strength.

What is the Combo SmylKeeper ?

The combo is a brace solution that combines a brace wire with a matching splint. Thanks to the combo, you can fit both systems in a single appointment. In fact, the combo’s gutter already incorporates a space for the compression wire. Simply insert the wire, clip on the splint and you’re ready to go!

Dental whitening

Are your whitening gutters compatible with my whitening solution?

Our whitening gutters are compatible with all whitening solutions and brands. You can order gutters with or without reservoirs. Please let us know your choice when placing your order.

I don't have a digital camera, do you support physical prints ?

We accept physical impressions (silicone only). When placing your order, please let us know if you would like to collect your impressions. We will send a courier to collect them.

How to order whitening gutters ?

Once your Smyline account is activated, log in to the Digilab business platform. Select “Orthodontic Treatment” then “Whitening.” Then, submit your digital impressions and provide all the necessary information in the comments section to ensure your order is processed smoothly.

Support

What communications support do you offer for my practice?

We provide you with a poster, flyers, a display unit and its demo aligner, as well as a video for your waiting room (download the video). You will receive this welcome kit with your first aligner treatment. However, you can contact us to receive it earlier.

What does a coaching session involve?

Coaching sessions are individual and led by one of our clinical referents. The session lasts 30 minutes and takes place by telephone or video. It gives you the opportunity to discuss all the issues surrounding the aligner (patient, clinic, estimates, organization, structure, etc.) and to ask our Smyline coach any questions you may have.

How do I book a coaching session?

Book an appointment online from our website and reserve your 30-minute coaching session. Free session reserved for Smyline customers.

How do you run your training courses?

We offer an e-learning path and face-to-face training days. The e-learning program is made up of 4 modules accessible from a private area 24 hours a day. Face-to-face training takes place over the course of a day, and covers both clinical theory and hands-on practice, with exercises such as fitting compression wires, cleat fitting, manual and motorized stripping, etc.

How do I register for a course?

How do I create a quote for my patient?

We’re sharing a nomenclature and pricing codes with you. You must create your patient quote based on the Smyline package that will be billed to you. If you need help with this, you can schedule a coaching session with our clinical advisor (make an appointment)

I don’t have time for face-to-face training, I would like to train remotely?

Is the training supported by the FIFPL?

The face-to-face training day is a Qualiopi training course supported by the FIFPL organization to the tune of €240

I have never had aligners fitted before, am I eligible for training?

There are no prerequisites to participate in our training courses. Smyline training courses are suitable for general practitioners and practitioners wishing to begin working as aligners. You can also complete our e-learning course in addition to a one-day training session.

I already use aligners, is training mandatory?

If you already have significant aligner practice, you can submit your Smyline treatment requests immediately. Training is not mandatory but is strongly recommended for inexperienced practitioners.

Patient App

Who can use the Smyline app?

The Smyline patient app is designed for your patients. They’ll be the ones using it daily on their smartphones. However, for them to access the app, you must first create their profile and treatment on the Smyline Dashboard. Download the tutorial

Who creates patients and their treatment?

It’s you from your Dashboard. You must create each patient and their treatment, then provide them with their access codes to the application. Download the patient poster

How do I create my patient’s access to the Smyline monitoring application?

You create your patient’s password. You must provide it to them so they can log in for the first time and change it themselves.
